The brief was simple - To add a digital experience leg to the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 phone in Thailand, highlighting the handsfree nature of the cool and flexible device. We realized that the best way to express through Tik Tok dances is by going handsfree. So we decided to turn going handsfree and doing Tik Tok dance into an opportunity to make visual 3D art and express, while flexing your phone. We called it ‘Flexpress Yourself’

We used TensorFlow to map 32 joints in a human body. From that we created a skeletal structure that would become the base canvas to create art. After exploring multiple art styles and character specs, we locked down on duplicating 3D line pattern as it gives the user the freedom to express, while still maintaining a strong sense of shape. We call the end result a ‘Flexi’, which users can export from the webapp and share on their socials.
